A mixed case of the following three red wines:
Thornbury Pinot Noir (4), Villa Maria Cellar Selection Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon (4),
Te Awa Syrah (4)
Thornbury Pinot Noir – As the world’s southernmost wine region, Central Otago’s climate is pretty extreme but our Pinot Noir is tough, thriving on these dry, silty slopes. Perfumed with wild thyme, black cherry and dark berry fruit, it’s plush, plummy, slippery in the mouth and edged with earthy spices and cocoa.
Villa Maria Cellar Selection Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon – Layers of berry, cassis and dark plum combine with cedar and savoury characters in the generous, full bodied Hawkes Bay wine.
Te Awa Syrah – This full bodied wine is deeply coloured with violet hues. Aromas of dark berries are complemented by spicy pepper and rich earthy notes. The palate is complex with sweet fruit flavours of blueberry and raspberry balanced by notes of cedar and the typical Gimblett Gravel’s minerality.
